ICHICHORO | RATING: Milk and Dark Chocolate/10 PLAYLIST: WIP! |
|
"Seriously? I'm stuck with him?" CHARACTERS: Ichimatsu Matsuno. The fourth son of the Matsuno Family. The number four in Japanese culture represents bad luck. As such, darkness permeates off of Ichimatsu, and his personality matches, and yet, his heart is fragile as glass. Choromatsu Matsuno. The third son of the Matsuno Family. The number three in Japanese culture represents prosperity. Choromatsu does all he can to stay proper, but seems to always fall flat. |
THE VIBE | ||
Ichimatsu and Choromatsu are, obviously, brothers. The middle children of sextuplets. Despite this, in the beginning of the anime, they are a pair that rarely seen together. It's rare enough for any two of them to be alone together to begin with, but between the antics of the other brothers, Ichimatsu and Choromatsu both play the part of straight man in a world of absurdity. On the rare occasion they are alone, however, theyre kind, considerate, and even polite to one another. Ichimatsu and Choromatsu don't have many similarities as far as interests, Ichimatsu preferring to be alone with cats, and Choromatsu chasing idol skirts, though they find it easy to be honest with each other all the same. Strangely enough, the idol Choromatsu likes has a cat theme! Couldn't they bond over that?
As middle kids, I think the vibe of Ichichoro depends on their desire to become better people, but their inability to stand out. They're the most quiet of the bunch, and I feel that their parents were least likely to notice them, especially in their adulthood. Choromatsu spends a lot of time trying his best to be proper, and puts forth a lot of effort to be a respectable adult despite he and his brother being NEETS. Ichimatsu, on the other hand, tried hard in high school, but has long since given up on being a functioning member of society. Though, likely a part of it is Ichimatsu's own inability to reach out and speak to others. The way that he's able to be honest with Choromatsu when he can barely speaks to others tells me he feels comfortable with his older brother. Together, I headcanon Choromatsu has a pride for his brother, and almost envies his ability to close off. Choromatsu is pretty much an open book. He doesn't hide many things, and it's almost always obvious when he's upset, or happy. Choromatsu likely feels protective over Ichimatsu in the same breath. He's often worried that Ichimatsu will get hurt when he's not around, and even if he doesn't show it, he's happy Ichimatsu is always in arm's reach. Ichimatsu is scary on occasion, but Choro knows better. I have personal headcanons for Choromatsu that are important to bring up as well. As a child, Choromatsu had a flippant personality, and often hung around his older brother Osomatsu, clinging to him when life was simple. As things grew more complicated, growing up with five brothers wasn't always easy. Often forgotten, Choromatsu grew up with imaginary friends, and delusions. Some often so debilitating that he will occasionally, under stress, go into a catatonic like state. Ichimatsu likely didn't have much to do with Choromatsu in that stage of his life, going from carefree child to repressed teenager, he was equally concerned with fitting in properly. I also find it interesting that Ichimatsu chooses to never call Choromatsu by his name, and rarely uses an honorific with him. Ichimatsu seems to have a fear of getting too close to others, for the fear of being hurt. Names are familiar, even if they're with his brothers, so I think he opts not to use them in favor of nicknames that poke fun. Though, I think, in some rare moments, Ichimatsu does use his older brother's name. Nowadays, Ichimatsu likely takes care of Choromatsu in those moments. The two likely share eye rolls at their brother's antics, small, knowing looks. Ichimatsu and Choromatsu have a tendency to engage in solo projects, like Ichimatsu's late night radio show that doesn't broadcast. Not only is it entertaining, but making their own fun that doesn't involve their volatile brother seems intrinsic to the their relationship. Ichimatsu's low vibe personality likely helps ground Choromatsu, and the two share a solidarity in being the most emotionally intelligent pair of the Matsuno Family. |
DYNAMIC IN BED | ||
Ichimatsu and Choromatsu likely switch. Ichimatsu is shown to have a sadistic side, where he enjoys taking a dominant personality on, and makes his brothers beg. Choromatsu, among the others, falls into line easily. I even think relinquishing control would be exctiing to him. Not having to think and only completing instructions would be somewhat of a stress relief to the highstrung Choromatsu. Choromatsu is the most perverted of his brothers, and so when he tops, I think he's shameless about feeling Ichimatsu up, and making him roleplay with him. I feel like making Ichimatsu dress up is commonplace for them. Though, Choromatsu I feel would openly admit he doesn't like girls that much romantically, and he just enjoys ogling them. If he were to make love to someone outside of his delusions, I think it would have to be someone he could completely open with, that being Ichimatsu.
